New patch (83) today

Just a quick note; there will be another maintenance today to release a fix to some minor issues in patch 82 that came up in the live environment. In particular this patch will address an issue where people under some conditions receive "negative" ratings which triggers unpredictable matches such as repeated 1 v 4 matches.

One of the side effects of setting ALL players (tens of thousands of players) to 0 simultaneously has been that the matchmaking then has tried to adjust people in some cases to unexpected values.

There is also a district disconnection issue experienced by groups of players at the moment, which will also be addressed shortly.

    Just a heads-up because I haven't seen it addressed here or the boards. Since the patch me, my brother and cousin all play together and as of last night we could no longer play more than 1 or 2 missions without all of us crashing simultaneously. Never had game crash issues from RTW beta until this patch. Now we can't stop crashing.

    fix the criminals starting all missions and enfocers only get dispatched against them problem.They just camp at guard points at all stages if they dont win at the first ones jesus.We want to guard targets too as before!!!!!!!!!!

    Hate to be in the loser team. Of course, you can beat them by skill, but still, you are the one with a handicap.

    Because Enforcers don't have the ability to ram-raid when there isn't any action, and vehicles MUST be stolen in order for them to be impounded, whereas Criminals can simply take and drop off any vehicle (unless this has changed).

    Been having a lot of random DCs since this patch.

    Also did you guys stealth change the Vegas? They are fucking insane right now and say "Armas Custom". This is on every world Vegas I have seen.

    it would be nice if you would address spawns and being outnumbered, i just came out of a 4v7 where the 4 enf we faced were able to call backup that had much higher threat than all of us. On top of that they were spawning 40m away from their defend point

    They can only do it every so often as it does have a cooldown timer after turning in 1 or 2 vehicles. Also, it really doesn't take any time at all to find a 'stolen vehicle', though the reward could be greater. I don't really think this is a problem. Also, crims CAN ram raid but again, this is actually a better feature for enforcers imo as you can ninja their pot without having to do much work.

    For the THIRD time, I am still waiting for an answer to this :
    "Is Teamspeak, Xfire, Ventrillo and FRAPS allowed, or that's included in the 3rd party software group that is bannable?"
    Since now you 've ignored my question twice. It seems that theres something there in mty question that you re afraid to answer.

    Also I am using Coretemp to measure my cpu's temperature now that it's close to summer, and logitech g-series key profiler as well as logitech setpoint.
    Is any of these programs I mentioned (including Teamspeak, Xfire, Ventrillo and FRAPS) forbiddden?

    I hope you don't dodge me this time with complete /ignore

    WARNING APB reloaded its just like the first original APB ... They do money money money and they close ... Be carreful APB reloaded its ESCROC , gangster ... Dont by premium or other thing ...Its free and free its free OK !! if not , pay but you can be a loser ...A lot of problem gamefirst they can't do the necessary for APB ...APB its like FINISH !!!     Nice upgrade of the treat levels, hope everybody get there *good* treat soon, because this fights are sick, i got a mission with my friend, we where both silver * treat 4* and fighting against 4 players with *treat 1 Bronz bullet* but treat level 100+ so lame xD

    Uhm - that may be the weirdest post I have seen so far. Let's be clear - we - GamersFirst / K2 Network - have been in business since November 2001. We are in fact coming up on our 10 year anniversary. Not that ANY company is bulletproof (pun intended here), but so far we have been able to stick around for a long time :)

    Can we get some official updates to the public then? There really seems to alot of confussion between the public and the official statments knocking around which is no fault of G! but there seems to be a real lack of synchronisation between the Blog, The facbook page , and twitter. Information is ammo folks and you guys have been lacking in the past month or two.

    what Ian said info is all... and tbh dont fell like you did anything about the so called hacker ban wawe to.. feels now like that was just smoke blowing out your ass. like some lame scare tatic to keep hackers away.. sure i do hope you acctualy have something ongoing.... since it would be ashame to se this great game die twice... couse off hackers.....but so far you have not been so active or informative ion that front tbh... all in all im losing my hopes for this game soon... char mods that are just wahy op or way crap... server crashes so on and on i really dont whant to take up al the bad stuff.. as i stated before you done some good work to and i really do praise you for that like ltl now is more balanced then ever...but the constant disampointment i get makes me lose hope soon so dose this game when i 1 out 10 matches matche uo agisnt some one wihte obvs aimboting and snaping aim....

    You guys really are awesome. Thank you for taking the time to continually communicate what you're doing/planning. It's that sort of interaction and information that will keep me playing your games. Lack of information and "perceived" lack of care from SOE and RTW had me stop playing the original APB and more recently DC universe online. Keep it up, I know you take a beating and sometimes you have to ask "is this stance of open dialog worth it?" I can only speak for myself, but you've made a lifelong fan of your company out of me. You go with your bad selves.

    I just want to add something about my last post. when I said the cooling jacket issue I didnt mean to do it like it was before the update. I think its great that u lowered the speed. Anyway, what I ment is that there are some problems with the accuracy. I also made a post on forum ( no replies though:( ), but me and some other friends noticed that, for example when we have cooling jacket and hunting sight/reflect sight in a 2 slotted gun the effects of the hs/rs do not work (removing or adding the hs/rs doesnt make any difference). anyway thats all, hope u can fix that. keep up the good work:)

    I just wanted to say...i think gamersfirst is taking the right steps in making a stable gaming experience. being its still in closed beta, I would think it understandable and expected that there are...and will be some issues with the game. No other game gets my blood pumping like this one....keep up the great work!

    It seems it's your ignorance that makes you sound paranoid... So I'll explain by exapmle.
    4 years ago, EA banned from BF2142 all users that had setpoint active. The excuse was that setpoint could be used to bind a macro to a mousebutton. However, due to complains and a nearly lawsuit from logitech, made EA restore the banned accounts 2 days later.

    So since I am using a Logitech keyboard that CAN bind macros to command keys (see Logitech G110) and setpoint too as my mouse is a Logitech G9, I am worried.
    Concerning the Coretemp utility, it could be confused easily to a cpu overclock tool. Overclocking can cause an exploit of the U3 engine that applies to APB too (I had tried it on RTW beta out of curiocity).
    As for Ventrillo and Teamspeak some teams that use it gain an unfair advantage to teams that are not made out of the same clan (many loners dispatched together). Therefore it is a 3rd party software that gives an edge to the players that use it, since the use of the ingame voip, can give away your position to an enemy; something that TS, Xfire and Vent do not.

    Now tyat you have you reasoning, Can I please have a straight answe from the damn devs without any more people popping up like fracking acme?

    @Bjorn Man i really enjoy the game man, i don't really say much about anything but the new ranking system is a joke miss the old one i really do i have gotten my teeth beat in all day today people with way better guns then me, I never lost that bad in my life man i get to the point were it isn't fun to play what so ever , but hope you go back to the same system ty for APB love the game, doing a great job seya

    #1 If EA did the bans then that's on EA. If you're worried that G1 will ban you on the same grounds then don't use the software.

    #2 If it were possible to be banned for using overclocking tools or temperature monitors or other utilities I would have been gone a long time.

    #3 Banning the use of applications used for social interaction, really? Please refer back to what Jimmy and I have both said: Use common sense.

    Simple as that.

    I love how they'd nerfed the OCA into oblivion. It's a piece of garbage not worth using now, so I hope all you people who bought the Armas OCA 3-slot are enjoying your newly-destroyed weapon:

    You see, Reflex Sight was changed to be 'Accuracy while moving' instead of 'Accuracy outside of marksmanship mode,' and because the OCA fires faster, its recoil/bloom builds up faster than the Colby, and it does less damage per shot by comparison... therefore it's obviously an inferior weapon.

    But they still don't want to provide a 3-slot Colby PMG on Armas yet, huh. Some people like spraying, not the sniper BS that has infested APB Reloaded for a very long time, probably because you've never been able to stop the aimbots who love it. I don't want to crouch and marksmanship, I like fast-paced CQB, and the fact that SMG's are consistently nerfed so much is rather irritating.

    The problem is that G1 is now going to classic route of every young MMO developer and seems to believe that the path to balance is best found in smacking everything down with the nerf bat. Hear a peep of complaint from the forum trolls? Nerf bat. Don't like the fact that you lose a mission as a Dev to that asshole with an OCA? Nerf bat.

    Nerf bat, nerf bat, nerf bat. Now the problem is, you -can- indeed achieve "balance" by doing this. That is to say, you can "balance" the game to have 20-some odd guns ... every single one of which is not fun at all to play with.

    So yeah, I say we encourage the good work of Bjorn and the other G1 Devs. There are still some acceptable, moderately fun guns out there, guys! Go get 'em! Let's not buff up the under-performing guns. Let's smack down EVERYTHING until it all sucks equally!!

    All cheaters came to test his hacks taday after the update. All.

    My friends told me before that they will never use this shit.
    But not today. Today they said: “Brother, we were very very tired. GF do not do anything with hax. Two months before the opening? This is unreal.
    Why do we spend over $ 30-50 for the purchase of useless weapons Armas Marketplace for every month?
    Just 20 euros for a hack for 3 months and no problems. Only 7 euros per month for the crushing force for any weapons.
    We love the APB. And we want to enjoy the game.
    And if before we said that we will never use hacks, after today, we say that we will pay hackers and will not pay a GF before they do something with it.”
    Unfortunately, I have found no arguments to somehow convince them. I myself see what happens.

    I guess that you see too. Lobby hackers is growing. They get real money. And they work hard. They spread like an epidemic with no cure.

    There is a high risk that despite your many years of experience and some work in this direction will not be able to resolve the problem. And it will mean one thing, that core audience or stop playing this game or will pay, but not GF.

    why are cheaters like an epidemic? cause some (like u) get kicked in the a$$ by some skilled players and MAYBE one or an other homeless, lifeless cheater in one night and then they decide to buy cheats (cause others did it too... whining)... u cant be epic every night... but when u love the game, dont kill it with cheats... when u really love the game, it cant be fun to pay for some "automatic kills" they didnt belong to u... come down, change district, rise and shine ;)

    I 'll agree with Дмитрий Ск (ffs dablues, just copypaste), there was a hackfest (at least on obeya) where you too play dablues.
    And by the way, I remember you a lot of times doing impossible things that even if you try in peace many times you cant do, so you re prolly one of the cheaters yourself and hide behind the lamest excuse ever, the "skill". As a guy who plays FPS for at least 12 years now and has spent more than 5000 hours on counterstrike, I know a bit more about skill and "skill".

    Hey, early in the morning isn't too bad for betas... I remember this one MMOFPS opened it's beta at 4am PST

    I've been up all night waiting to play a bit, it's 4:30am now, I doubt it'll be up before my school starts.... so I'll have to wait until 2pm to play..... unlessss >_>

    i dont think it will be here before the maintenance today. its normaly around 11pm-1am (gmt +1) so dont get your hopes up.

    so i dont think you will be able to play today if youre not in the closed beta

    Cheaters exist.Normal players dont make 20/1 in every mission.They have banned 208 overall with manual bans in there because they dont have anticheat program.The real number of cheaters is 1000++++.Prepare for the change that will come with OB.Everyone will cheat and if he gets banned he will make a new account.
    Offtopic now.I myself get boring at croncing and shotting with star i want action on close combat.So i use a Jg.With jg if the player is good you cant shoot twice in close combat if he uses oca/colby because your dead.Nerfing fire rate of cooling jacket wasss ohhh it doesnt really matters.As for the other nerfs oca/colby users did it was a must.Noobass keep killling you in a sec with his aim from 80 distance with colby autofrire with hunting sigh lvl 3 on it.You just have to accept your weapon is for close range only.Personally i want them to remove them or nerf their dmg/fire rate even more.And automatic pistols too removed.

    @Bjorn, if there is some delay with OB don't hesitate to share. At least very short update. Remember thousands of people waiting - they don't received CB invitation and It's most likely because your team mistakes (100k+ users can't have corrupted DX diag it's more likely your did something rong)

    The OB is most likely to be tomorrow...I know im bored to but my CB account says that im to young to play APB...Well there is always OB with a new account...So...Hmmm....I think it would be a smart move to add an Anticheat program because i really hate being kicked in the ass the hackers are outnumbering us...Flaming homos.....

    If they can't speak English then they should not be trying to. More often than not it is entirely easier to simply take their native language and pass it through a couple different translators until it makes literary sense.

    @drumtek Yeah, and in most cases it's not that they don't know grammar, other language sentance structures are just so much different than ours and online translation sites are just...really not good at rearranging things into coherant messages when translated. Same thing if we tried to tanslate over to their side. It translates bad, we spout off near gibberish. Try it sometime, translate from english to...whatever, then take that message and translate it back, see if you make any sense.

Geez, some of you it seems only play one game at a time. OB will come out when it comes out. Patches to prepare, final testing they are working on, things like that. Take a deep breath, walk around the block, go play whatever game you were playing before you decided that APB:R OB was your life and the only way to continue your miserable existances.

    Your gonna get the game, and you can enter the login screen, but there its back to waiting for the open beta to start so you can create the game account, unless ofcourse you have a closed beta key.

    On the english question, remember some people use online translator programs which do not handle grammer, but then you probly had a real problem understaning Yoda.. "weak is the force with you, yes"

    On the OB... the game is dropping faster than prom dresses right now and the Botter/hack users are going out in a blaze of glory(or trying to) so until the great banning it is worth the wait.

    Seriously, the game would not be fun as whole districts are dropping and restarting randomly from 10 to 20 min, so wait until this is patched and OB starts, or you could easly be put off what will become a great game (once the fix LTL *8) )
